AC Harrow Delicious *

Harrow Delicious ripens a few days later than William and is characterized by large fruit with an excellent, highly aromatic flavor. The fruit is pear-shaped with a yellow-green background and a light red blush. This variety is tolerant to fire blight.

AC Harrow Gold *

Harrow Gold is one of the most interesting pear varieties arrived on the European market in recent years. This highly productive variety stands out for its intensely aromatic flavor. Suitable for both the fresh market and processing, it is tolerant to fire blight. William is an excellent pollinator. The fruit is large with a yellow-green skin and a light red blush.

Abate Fetel Variety on Conference Autoradicato

Abate Fetel is an ancient French cultivar which has found home in the Po Valley. Producing a typical fall fruit, usually harvested at the beginning of September, it is widely appreciated for its excellent flavour, aroma and long shelf life. Recently, the use of Conference rootstock is giving new impetus to a variety that has been plagued by countless problems caused first by quince dieback and then by brown spot and Asian bug. Seedling rootstocks like self-rooted Conference boost a greater plant vigour and keep the fruit typical long shape. If pruned properly, yields are excellent from the first years after planting.

William Variety

William is one of the most classic and widespread varieties of pear trees in Europe. Boasting ancient English origin, it is well-known for its high yield, adaptability, and its yellow-green fruits, mostly yellow when fully ripe, perfect for both fresh consumption and processing. This variety is compatible with different types of rootstocks ranging from the most to the medium-vigorous ones – i.e. seedling rootstocks and farold®40. Good yield even on quince; in this case, the use of an inter-stock is necessary (Butirra Hardy, Curato).

Crea194* Variety

Crea194* was obtained by CRA-FRF (former Istituto Sperimentale per la Frutticoltura of Forlì). It is the result of a crossing of Carmen * with respect to which it improves all the productive and pomological aspects in fact it is a less vigorous plant that grafted both on free rootstocks and on quince still remains easy to manage. The fruit is large in size, bright red with a fine pulp and excellent flavor. The plant is compact, very productive. Very long shelf life in cold storage considering that it is an early variety (ripens in the same period as Santa Maria).

Carmen* Variety

Carmen is a very interesting early-season pear variety originated in Italy. The fruit has large size (about 200 g) with deep-red overcolour on 30/40% of the skin surface. The tree has high vigour with erect growth habit and fruiting located mainly on dards. The flesh is fine and white, with excellent taste. It is not susceptible to overripeness and it has good organoleptic traits. The shelf-life of the fruit is excellent (more than 2 months).
