PLANT: rustic, of medium vigor and erect habit, with good productivity. Variety with cold requirements, suitable for continental climates, particularly suitable for quality productions in tunnel (protected cultivation).

FLOWERING AND HARVESTING: very early flowering (-3 days Clery), as well as the harvest time (-4 days Clery).

FRUIT: very sweet and tasty, very attractive for its heart-conical shape, medium size (20-24gr.) and nice bright red colour. The fruit has a sugar content and a consistency such as to make it extremely suitable for direct sale.

TECHNICAL TIPS: to preserve the very early picking-time, a crop-protection during flowering is recommended (if necessary).

Variety Lauretta

PLANT: easy to grow, with good rusticity and vigor, with upright habit and medium density of foliage. Variety suitable for continental climates, particularly suitable for quality productions in protected cultivation.

FLOWERING AND HARVESTING: medium flowering period (+4 days Alba), as well as the harvest period (+5 days Alba).

FRUIT: medium size (22-25gr.), very attractive, long-conical shape and bright-red colour. The fruit has a good consistency and shelf-life and a high sugar content, well balanced by the acid component, which makes the fruit very tasty.

TECHNICAL TIPS: to enhance its organoleptic characteristics, it can be grown both in tunnel and in open-field. Early planting times are recommended.

Tea NF633* Variety

PLANT: the plant has medium vigour and can easily achieve high yield (1,2 kg/plant). It’s particularly suitable for areas with continental climate (Central Europe).

FLOWERING AND PICKING: Late flowering (+4 days Alba), intermediate ripening time (-1 days Roxana).

FRUIT: very large (29 grams). Conical shape, very firm with bright red colour.

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: we consider Tea a valid alternative to Roxana with a long shelf-life and good organoleptic characteristics. Tea has shown resistance to the most common strawberry deseases.

Talia G14527* Variety

Plant: High-chilling-requirement June-bearer variety, suitable for continental climate, rustic of medium vigor. Upright, but compact habit, of high productivity (1 Kg/plant).

Flowering and picking: late flowering (+10 days Alba) at the same level of the foliage, late ripening time (+14 days Alba). Easy fruit picking.

Fruit: high average size (29 g.), of conical shape, bright red color, and red flesh. Both shape and colour are uniform along all the picking period. High firmness and good resistance to handling. Better organoleptic characteristics than the period-competitors. Good shelf-life.

Agronomic advice: an early plantation is not necessary. Talia can be cultivated in greenhouse and even better in open-field to make the most of its late ripening period. Tolerant to the most common strawberry diseases.

Olympia NF638* Variety

PLANT: the plant has medium vigour and can easily achieve high yield (1,2 kg/plant). It’s particularly suitable for areas with continental climate (Central Europe). Olympia is also being evaluated for autumn productions and the first results are very positive.

Scala SG0203* Variety

PLANT: Scala is a variety easy to grow; the plant is vigorous and rustic, able to achieve good yield. Variety suitable for continental areas, especially for greenhouse or tunnel cultivation, both in soil and table-top.

FLOWERING AND PICKING: the flowering is medium-late ( +4 days than Alba) as well as the picking time ( + 1 days Roxana).

FRUIT: high fruit size (30-33g), long-conical shape, with bright red colour, very attractive. Juicy and firm flesh, with good flavor thanks to the good balance sugar-acid content.

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: thanks to the high quality level of the fruits, Scala is the perfect choice for the fresh market in the medium – late period. Susceptible to powdery mildew.

Roxana NF205* Variety

PLANT: the plant is very vigorous and rustic, also suitable for poor soils, always grants large yields with peaks of 1,5 kg per plants. It prefers a continental climate and is suitable for all growing techniques: spring, spring-autumn, soilless cultivation. It is considered the best variety for autumn cultivation, both in soil and soilless due to its productivity, fruit size and capacity to colour even when exposed to insufficient lighting and low temperatures.

FLOWERING AND PICKING: late flowering (+6 days Alba) that can be delayed further in late, cold winters. Medium-late picking (+8/10 Alba).

FRUIT: very large fruit, about 30 g average weight; this ensures reduced picking costs. Conical shape, very attractive, bright red skin and light red flesh. It is possible to anticipate spring picking by a few days and improve the fruit quality by using plug plants for the Summer plantation. Excellent taste in the Autumn production.

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: for Spring productions, plant distance should be large (35×35 cm) and calcium chelate should be used from flowering stage in order to improve shelf-life. Plants should be irrigated only after picking and with reduced water volumes. Roxana is slightly susceptible to Collectotrichum acutatum (Antracnose) and due to its high productivity, in bad weather conditions, could show Botrytis.

Syria NF137* Variety

PLANT: the plant is vigorous and moderately productive. Syria prefers a continental climate and is suitable for fresh consumption. Its fruit consistency, red flesh and the high and constant Brix degree have made this variety particularly interesting for the transformation industry producing yoghurt and fruit juices.

FLOWERING AND PICKING: intermediate flowering (+5 days Alba), medium picking (+6 days Alba).

FRUIT: Medium large fruit (24 g), conical-elongated shape, very attractive, bright red skin and red flesh. Syria is well appreciated by consumers thanks to the excellent organoleptic characteristics (7,5-10 Brix°) and to the long shelf-life. This type of fruit is always a synonym of a sweet and firm fruit, particularly suitable for the transformation industry (jams, confectionery,…).

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: early transplanting is suggested. Fruit may darken in very high temperatures. Syria is susceptible to Xanthomonas fragarie (Bacterial leaf spot).

Asia NF421* Variety

PLANT: the plant is vigorous and productive with very large leaves. Asia prefers a continental climate; glass-house cultivation is suggested in rainy areas. It is one of the cultivars suitable for soilless cultivation. The variety is under evaluation as to its adaptability to autumn-spring production techniques.

FLOWERING AND PICKING: Intermediate flowering (+5 days Alba). Medium-early picking (+3 days Alba).

FRUIT: very large fruit (28 g), long conical shape, medium consistency but good resistance to handling. Bright red fruit and red flesh. Due to excellent organoleptic characteristics and the long shelf-life, Asia is well appreciated by growers who sell direct to the public and have very demanding customers seeking quality products. Very large yields.

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: early transplanting is suggested. It prefers well-drained soils, but not too sandy and with raised beds of land. Due to the plants susceptibility to Oidium, the tunnel needs constant airing. Asia is susceptible to Colletotrichum acutatum (Antracnose).

Fragolaurea NF149* Variety

PLANT: the plant is rustic, vigorous and productive. Fragolaurea prefers areas with a continental climate.

FLOWERING AND PICKING: Fragolaurea has early flowering and picking (+2 days Alba). Picking time is longer than the other early varieties.

FRUIT: large fruit (25 g), long conical and uniform shape, bright red in colour. High consistancy, long shelf-life and good organoleptic characteristics.

AGRONOMIC ADVICES: adapted to open field and greenhouse cultivation. Early transplanting is suggested. .
