It is a very resistant tree, with a dark gray wrinkled bark and thick crown with glossy and shiny ovoid leaves.
It is a large berry with a beautiful flower stalk, the skin is thin and the pulp can be soft and juicy like jam or crunchy like an apple (kaki-apple).
Sweet, very sweet, it should be eaten when it has reached full maturity, otherwise it ‘snaps’ the tongue. You can cut it in half or in four wedges and then eat it with a teaspoon, leaving the peel which is quite hard.
Kaki is a very nutritious fruit and suitable for restoring energy when we are tired because it contains many sugars.
