Cristina* Variety
PLANT: Cristina is high winter chilling requirement variety, well-adapted to Central-Northern areas. The plant is hardy characterised by high vigour, medium habitus, medium-high leaf density and high yield. High adaptability to non-fumigated soils.
FLOWERING AND PICKING: Very late blooming time (+15 days Alba). Very late harvesting time (+15 days Alba).
FRUIT: Very big fruit size ( 28-30 g), short conical shape, quite bright red-orange colour and good taste (6,5-7°brix). The fruit skin is slightly delicate, but it maintains a good flesh firmness.
AGRONOMIC ADVICES: Adapted to open-field cultures. Tolerant to the main pathogens and to malformed fruits. Medium-large plantation distances and well-drained soils are recommended.
